360º Lifestyle

I believe that women are multi-faceted.  We embrace the outer roles of wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend.  And we have inner roles; those that need to be honored in order for us to be authentic, productive and truly happy.

We are artists, entrepreneurs, mentors and visionaries.  And when we ignore our true selves we experience self-doubt, anxiety and depression.

You = physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, and occupational developments. We are not disconnected to any of these parts of our being.

After I began working with women, their stories of their internal and external battles were all too similar.

I receive a lot of praise about how, with two young children, several businesses and everything else I have going on, I seem to have it all pretty much figured out. While I am humbled by the validation from others, the truth still is, I don’t.

We need to stop bullshitting ourselves and stop putting up facades based on what we think other people want from us.

I’ve recognized my weaknesses, so there are certain things I just don’t do. I’ve learned to make my business serve my life.

I’ve learned that my energy, time and resources are better utilized where they are meant to be of service.

I create what balance looks like for me.

Me. No one else can do that for me. And I also recognize that I need support in certain areas of my life, not just for myself, but also for my family. And cutting the bullshit with myself is the only way to plow through it.

Perfection does not exist. Doing and being your best is all you can do. My best does not include folding laundry. My best does not include scheduling calls. And that is OK.

I’ll take playing with my kids or meeting with another woman to strategize about her life and business over vacuuming, any day.

I made the decision to live my life in awareness: taking in the good, the bad, the ugly, the hurdles, the ahas, the dark moments, the laughs, the cries, the difficult conversations with others and with myself. I also made the decision to own that entrepreneurship is a lifestyle choice, that choice for me is living life fully.
