I am personally honored, grateful and proud. Cancer has left its mark in my family taking my father, grandmother, aunt, my uncle who is fighting metastatic bone cancer and my mother in law who is fighting breast cancer. I therefore feel deeply motivated to help spread awareness and raise funds whenever possible.
Super Saturday 13 is organized to raise awareness about Ovarian Cancer which is the leading cause of death from gynecologic cancers in the United States and is the fifth leading cause of cancer death among U.S. women. The American Cancer Society estimates that 21,650 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the U.S. in 2008 and about 15,520 women will die from the disease. It is an insidious disease that can strike without warning or cause.
Whether you decide to donate directly through the American Cancer Society or through us, buy tickets for this event or TELL another woman about this, you are doing SOMETHING!
